At Pardeeville Middle School, staff works hard to teach expectations to students regarding all parts of the school day (classrooms, hallways, lunchroom & playground). Students who need additional support to meet expectations receive that in the form of reteaching, check-in check-out, or another method. Consequences for behavior are also used when appropriate and are tailored to match the behavior if possible. Our goal is always to work with students to help them understand and meet behavior expectations.
Middle school staff classifies behaviors as either minor or major. Minor behaviors include academic misconduct, defiance/disrespect, class disruption, inappropriate attire, inappropriate language, misuse of property, physical contact, technology/electronics violation, and tardies. Major behaviors include chronic minor behaviors (3 minors=major), abusive/inappropriate language/profanity, defiance/disrespect, destruction of property/vandalism, vaping/drugs/alcohol/tobacco, misuse of network/electronics, physical assault, harassment, offensive attire, theft, truancy, weapons, and bullying (verbal, physical, cyber).
If a student feels a classmate is being unkind, the student can report the incident by filling out this form. Mrs. Denure or another staff member will meet with the students involved to help them solve the conflict. Incidents must be reported because we can't intervene if unaware of the situation. Students repeatedly found to be unkind to classmates may face disciplinary consequences, including detention, suspension, or expulsion.
