14th Annual Bulldog Stomp “Peace, Love, Run!”
The 14th Annual Bulldog Stomp was another year to remember those we have lost, support the individuals that are in the midst of their battles, and celebrate our survivors. The goal of the Bulldog Stomp continues to be raising money for the UW-Carbone Cancer Center. Money raised is used as seed money for the research and development of new cancer treatments. Over the past 14 years, the Bulldog Stomp has raised over $323,000!
Over 400 people attended on May 7, for “That 70’s Run” featuring some rad tie-dye shirts. It was a beautiful day to celebrate peace, love, and run-walking the 5k and 3K routes through beautiful Chandler Park. Over 150 raffle baskets were awarded, along with numerous silent auction items including a beautiful Badger Fire Ring, and Autographed Badger Basketball and Packer Football. Special recognition was given to Barry and Margo Pufahl for their many years of help and support. The Stomp also recognized Everbrite Signs for its 14 years of helping with our event signage. WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! There couldn't be a better theme for this year's event. Despite the lingering challenges associated with the pandemic, we were able to able to resume our annual run/walk and all associated activities. Highlights included presenting Donn & Kari Johnson with a Special Recognition Award for their years of service to the team. We continue to be amazed & appreciative of how our community rallies together and supports this event. 12th Annual Bulldog Stomp Cancer Run-Walk (2020)
Like most of life in 2020, the Bulldog Stomp had to make some pretty big adjustments in the face of a global pandemic. Sadly, we were not able to hold our annual run/walk, but thanks to a creative & dedicated group of students, we moved forward. Through our wonderful sponsors, an online silent auction, and our first-ever "drive-thru raffle," the team still raised $20,000 for the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
A trio of seniors led the team - Callie Brouette, Josie DeLapp, and Skylar Lynch. Juniors were represented by Emily Cupp, Peter Freye, Cami Johansen & Isabelle Read. 11th Annual Bulldog Stomp Cancer Run-Walk (2019)
For the past few years, the Bulldog Stomp team has come up with a theme that helps bring everything together. For our 11th annual event, it became obvious as soon as one of our volunteers asked what date it would be held on. "May the force be with you," or in our case, "May the 4th be with us" as our community came together once again to raise money for cancer research. This year's event featured some memorable moments, including an appearance by Bucky Badger, a Special Recognition Award to Sheila Berklund and a Lifetime Recognition Award to Carol Babcock, who inspired our very first event. The day culminated with the students presenting a check for $35,000 to the UW Carbone Cancer Center!
Tanner Johnson & Cody Burns provided senior leadership to a great group of student volunteers. Juniors included Callie Brouette, Josie DeLapp, Hanna Gray and Skylar Lynch. 10th Annual Bulldog Stomp Cancer Run-Walk (2018)
At the first planning meeting for this year's event, Mr. Lynch, who has been the event advisor since the beginning, gave the team a little history lesson. Highlighting how the event has grown and the impact it has had in our community challenged & inspired this special group of volunteers. Their hard work & dedication paid off as the 10th Annual Bulldog Stomp raised an astonishing $40,000 for the UW Carbone Cancer Center!
Molly Freye, in her 4th year on the team, led a strong group of seniors, including Jada Bliss, Torianna Fay, Jenna Nelson, Kirston Purtell, Payton Purtell & Amanda Saucedo. Juniors were represented by Cody Burns, Tanner Johnson & Abby Nuss. Sophomore team members were Callie Brouette, Josie Delap & Skylar Lynch. Freshman included Peter Freye, Cami Johansen & Isabelle Read.

8TH Annual Bulldog Stomp 5K Cancer Run-Walk (2016)
2016 would be the first year that the event would be organized by a student group made up of volunteers from the student body at large and not just student council members. Senior, Shelby Smith, volunteered to be team leader. Shelby was a 4th year member of the organizing team, and her experience helped lead the way to another successful year.

7th Annual Bulldog Stomp 5K Cancer Run-Walk (2015)
In 2015, Student Council President Julie Martin, would emerge as the new team leader. It seemed hard to imagine that the event could grow any bigger or raise any more money, but the team decided that it would set a goal of raising $22,000, an increase of $1,000 over 2014. With that goal in mind, team members Shelby Smith, Carter Blochowitz, Kaylee Arnold, Brittany and Brianna Vosen, Jaimie Neuhauser, and Mikayla Brouette worked tirelessly to reach their goal.
The addition of two new adult volunteers, Carol Martin and Deb Smith were also integral to the success of this year's event. Special thanks to Carol Babcock and Kari Johnson. Each of them cancer survivors, who give freely of their time, talents and treasure every year to help make sure that the students and their event are successful. They are amazing women and we can not thank them enough. The 2015 Bulldog Stomp raised $22,000 for the UW-Carbone Cancer Center.

Team Leader, and four year team member, Lindsey Johnson was a big reason why the 6th Annual Bulldog Stomp would shatter the old record of $16,000. Her team members Carter Blochowitz, Jaimie Neuhauser, Mikayla Brouette, Brittany and Brianna Vosen, Myah Curtis, and Shelby Smith, along with Student Council Advisor Chris Lynch, and volunteers Kari Johnso and Carol Babcock. Surpassing the goal of $20,000, all the hard work paid off and a donation of $21,000 was given to the UW-Carbone Cancer Center!

A second student council team made up of Team Leader Nathan Knitt, Donnie Radcliffe, Lindsay Johnson, Eric Curtis and Amber Becker, reorganized the event the following year. Their goal was to build on the previous year's success and raise even more money. With the guidance of Student Council advisors Chris Lynch and Joy Bennett, as well as adult volunteers Carol Babcock and Kari Johnson, this team achieved its goal and raised over $11,000 for the Leroy Butler Foundation!

Pardeeville Student Council Cancer Run-Walk (2009)
In the fall of 2008, a student council team, made up of 5 student members, decided they wanted to do a team project that would support their friend and breast cancer survivor, Carol Babcock, bring the community together and raise money for the Pink Ribbon Angels of Columbia County. Founding members of that team included Student Council Advisors Chris Lynch and Joy Bennett, and students Nicole Preskar, Sam Wais, Bree Miller, Ali Neesam and Eric Curtis.
These 5 young people set a goal in the first year of registering 100 people for their event. Little did they know how big it would become. With the help of community members like Carol Babcock, the Pink Ribbon Angels of Columbia County, special guest Olympian Suzy Favor-Hamilton, numerous businesses, friends and family, they attracted over 400 participants and raised almost $8,000 dollars in the first year!!
